For those of you who don’t watch vampire movies, the Barrow, Alaska reference is from the 2007 film “30 Days of Night” (adapted from a graphic novel by the same name). The premise is a clan of vampires descend upon an Alaskan town that, for thirty days a year, is plunged into total darkness. I’m not really a big fan of pretty boy vampires that can prance around in the daylight so I enjoyed these black eyed, fang filled, merciless blood suckers!

I love October, but people start celebrating Halloween too early now.
I’m a horror movie buff and I enjoy Halloween, but I always wait to the first day of October before I decorate the porch and eat a huge bowl of Resse’s butter cups. 🙂
